Medical Doctors

Many doctors, especially from India are concerned about the “long” duration of PG Specialist training in Germany. This is because they tend to compare the PG Specialist title with the MD/MS granted in India. One needs to understand that the PG Specialist Training in Germany results in a “Specialist” title, which is comparable with the “Super-Specializations” in India and NOT with MD/MS. When seen in this light, its evident that the duration is not long after all.

  1. Hi,
I’m an MBBS graduate from India, wishing to do my PG in Germany. But if I’m interested in doing PG in Ortho,at the end of 5/6 yrs of training in Germany, I’ll still be an MS Ortho…how is it different from the 3 yrs course in India? Please do clear my doubt regarding the above…
    Thank you…!!
